The History
Leamington Lions was founded in 1998 by Nick Buckle, a local teacher. Whilst training in Leamington, he discovered that girls were actually interested in playing football but that there were few opportunities in the Leamington & Warwick area.
Nick decided to start a team, word spread and, before long, Leamington Lions was born.
The Mission
Leamington Lions’ mission is to provide opportunities for all abilities, setting realistic expectations and enabling the development of teams and individuals where learning and enjoyment are prioritised over match results.
